Welcome to Marmalade Bears!
An embroiderer by proffession, my own bear making journey started back in 2018 when I bought a bear making kit quite by chance!
My vast collection of vintage velvet seemed my logical material of choice so I dyed it, applied the new techniques I had learned, and my little velvet animals were born! People asked to buy them and I was introduced to Bearpile and a passion was born!
I progressed to small dressed mohair bears made from recycled coats that I hand dyed and was set on a mission to make bears to the highest standard. The turning point came in 2023 when I took online masterclasses with the amazing Lisa Pay of Australia.
Since January 2024 I have been designing and developing my bears ready for a launch event in December.
My bears are all one of a kind and completely sewn by hand using recycled mohair and textiles that would otherwise end up in landfill.I hope my love of all things fuzzy and furry shines through.I work with my workbox on my lap surrounded by my adorable "hug" of bears who love to offer me tips but mainly get marmalade biscuit crumbs everywhere which can be rather annoying!.
"Marmalade Bears" is derived from my childhood pet name and my first self drafted bear who was finished whilst watching "Paddington" and duly called Marmalade in honour of the Marmalade sandwich always in Paddingtons pocket!

Postage Notes
I ship to USA & UK only. Canadian post will be reinstated after the strikes. Sorry - I do not ship to Europe due to the beaurocracy not making it viable.
