'Popcorn the Guinea Pig' is a prototype creation from a pattern I designed about 3.5yrs ago while my baby (at the time) had his day-time nap! I drew two versions of the pattern onto mohair - then never got a chance to cut them out. I thought they were lost, but found them again recently. I had long since lost the paper-pattern pieces, but decided to cut out the shapes, try and assemble them as I intended and see what results...

Popcorn is a tri-colour Cavy cut from black, tan and white mohair. These guys were designed to look like guinea pigs sitting back on their fat little bottoms with their bellies on show. They are fully t-pin jointed and stuffed with polyfill, glass shot and steel shot making them actually quite heavy for their size.

They look out through huge black glass eyes and have little pink embroidered and shaded noses/mouths. Popcorn's ears are made from a black and white faux suede. His white ear has been detailed with pink and tan to add to character.

Popcorn is something a bit unusual and special, and is a one of a kind artist creation.
