TABBY has been entirely designed and hand sewn by myself, in a smoke free environment. Many hours of patient work have gone into the conception and crafting of this cat.
MEASURES: 30 cm (about 13 inches) from nose tip to rear.
MATERIALS: Long high quality faux fur, beige and white. Ultra suede for inner ears. Horse hair for the whiskers. Sheep wool for the stuffing, with an addition of enclosed white granulate for added weight.
FEATURES: Tabby has a needle felted face. His eyes are of transparent German glass that I hand painted in tones of blue for a realistic effect. Extensive scissor sculpting and shading were done to his face, body and legs. Paw pads and nose have been sculpted with Apoxie clay and layer painted, for a very realistic effect.
JOINTING and POSING: all four legs are cotter pin jointed and have a metal wiring. The tail is also wired, and the head is connected to the body with a flexible ‘spine’. Thanks to these features Tabby can be arranged in many different and realistic positions. He can sit, lay, look up down or sideways. Front and back legs can be partially folded and look very natural and real.
