Periwinkle is one of my old loved clown series -I love making this old loved style and ageing the bear to look like it has been really loved in the past.
I have made Periwinkle with a German matted mohair that I hand dyed and have aged with shading and darns.His eyes are antique boot button and his nose is stitched sparingly for a well kissed look.
I have made his outfit from dupion silk that I have hand painted with silk dyes.He wears rusty bells to finish off his outfit.I have made a series of these clowns/jesters in different colours so keep an eye on my postings.
