- a 'Collaboration Bear' ( Initiated by 'The bear lady at Forbes' - Joan Neowhouse, and completed in remembrance by Emma's Bears following her passing).

This is a whole new range of bears by Emma's Bears. They are an eclectic assortment of bears in all shapes and sizes, and all types of fur, in various states of completion, and cut from patterns and designs that are unknown/unfamiliar to us. We've taken on these initiated teds after their original crafter passed away, and her family were unsure what should happen to all her unfinished work.

Bastijn is something very new for the 'Collaboration Bears'. Not only is he made from a mix of recycled jet black real rabbit fur, but we've made some adjustments to the original design and replaced his black mussle and paw pads with a soft beige/cream to help his face stand out a little better. We've used our faux fur 'Husky Pup' for his face, and scissor sculptured the sweet rounded cheeks.

Bastijn looks out through a pair of our hand painted glass eyes in a mix of green/blue and silver. He has a hand embroidered nose and some subtle silk-dye shadin to his paws, inner ears and nose.

Bastijn is loosely, but securely T-pin jointed, this helps to minimise any extra stress on the leather. He has been stuffed with polyfill and a small amount of glass beads giving him a lovely realistic feel. The real fur is incredibly silky to the touch and lovely to hold, but not so much fun to work with so not something we do very often.

Bastijn is a one of a kind artist bear and will come with all of his identification tags.
