Hello and Happy New Year for 2013- I hope it's a wonderful, happy, healthy year with lots of bears!:) Thank you for stopping in to take a closer look at Chelsea, who's a relative giant for one of my bears, standing at a whopping 8":)
Chelsea is handstitched from a lovely Schulte Mohair that has a milk chocolate coloured base with a lighter coloured pile. This is a very unusual fabric to describe- it gives the appearance of a tipped mohair, without being a tipped mohair, it's quite unique and very lovely. Chelsea has 5 cotterpin and disc joints, with a wobble head and is filled with pure wool and glass sand for a lovely weight. She has black glass eyes and her little face is scissor and needle sculpted.
Chelsea is all dressed up for a Summer party (after all, it's quite warm here 'Down Under' at the moment!:) Her little short romper suit is made from gorgeous English cotton net lace in palest pink with off-white embroidery, and silk bows on each shoulder. A little bow of matching lace sits atop her fuzzy head, topped with a vintage blossom and sprinkled with sparkly Aurora Borealis Swarovski crystals.
