Please, meet Soot, a raccoon that just found some homemade cookies...

Soot has been entirely designed and handcrafted by myself.
He measures 12 inches standing, but I have designed him to sit, so that he can enjoy his cookies at leisure!
For soot I chose a very soft 20mm luxury faux fur with nicely mixed shades of grey and ivory that give a very natural look. His feet and hands are made with a very dense and short pile alpaca fur that has been scissor sculpted and shaded.
Soot has a needle felted face, glass eyes and Fimo sculpted nose. His tail and arms are wired for better posing. He is six ways cotter pin jointed (head, limbs and tail). He is stuffed with sheep wool and some encased mica granules to give him a nice weight.
Soot's features and tail have been carefully shaded to bring out the characteristic pattern that is distinctive of raccoons.
Soot always travels with his cookie stash, and his birth certificate, all made in matching materials by myself.

I am very happy to say that Soot won a green ribbon (third place) in the URSA AWARDS 2012 competition.
