Clara is made from pretty German mohair that is over 100 years old. This mohair has areas that are worn down to the backing but the backing is sturdy and strong ~ I believe this adds to the vintage charm ~ her eyes are made of antique shoe buttons and her nose is sparsely stitched with embroidery thread
She is filled with polyfil and b.b.'s for weight. She wears vintage dolly clothes which consist of a velvet coat and matching hat. I designed Clara specifically for this coat and since it is a dolly coat, she is not proportioned the way my bears usually are ~ Clara is long and lean with very thin limbs so her arms will fit in the coat sleeves. Clara does not have hand or foot pads. I've attached a "Bare Bear" picture so you can see her physique. Clara will bring along her little antique Steiff monkey ~ This poor little guy has seen a few better days! Someone long ago ripped his button from his ear, but he seems to have otherwise survived pretty well! Please contact me for details on Clara's adoption! Thanks so much. God Bless You!
