Lewis Carroll’s whimsical masterpiece, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” first published in 1865, continues to transport readers to a world of boundless imagination. Among its most beloved characters is the March Hare, or White Rabbit, forever etched in our minds as: “A rabbit like any other, except he’s dressed in a waistcoat and perpetually consulting his pocket watch.” Forever scurrying, a personification of time itself, he whispers to us the preciousness of each fleeting moment and the magic held within the ordinary.

This enchanting creation is meticulously handcrafted using a mixed-media approach, featuring: 5-way jointed construction with secure plywood discs and bolts, a filling of fragrant Altai cedar shavings, soft synthetic fiberfill, natural wood wool, and carefully weighted mineral granules. His expressive gaze is brought to life with German glass eyes, and his plush form is crafted from luxurious German Schulte viscose. Living Doll polymer clay hands and boots complete the figure. The wired ears are fully poseable, allowing for a range of playful expressions. A German armature within the limbs allows for dynamic and realistic poses. The removable clothing is a testament to exquisite craftsmanship, featuring sumptuous Italian silk panne velvet, antique atlas fabric, textured Japanese cotton, antique French openwork trim, delicate antique French Valenciennes lace, and richly colored Italian viscose velvet ribbon. A sparkling Swarovski crystal pendant adds a touch of whimsical elegance.
