Delilah Cat and Snow Owl

Delilah is approximately 37 cm (14.5 inches) on stand with hat on and she is 33 cm (13 inches) from head to her boots without hat and stand.

Snow is approximately 11 cm (4.3 inches) but is chunky.

The stand is 45 cm (17.7 inches).

Delilah has a completely hand sculpted head that is covered in fur in a blended manner.

Her body is made from a combination of mohair and viscose.

She has the most beautiful glass eyes - I have painted the backs of them to bring out the colour.

Completely hand stitched.

Fully jointed.

Hand painted face.

Glass pellet and polyester filled for a heavy weight.

The fabrics are just incredible.

Hat and panels on the coat are re-purposed magnificent old fabric.

Completely hand beaded using old and newly bought beads of many different styles and textures, artificially aged.

The owl was bought and given a new life.

Her body, face and eyes been repainted and she has a beaded hat to tie in with Delilah‘s costume.

The stand has an imperfection at the top where it bends a little giving a good character.

The rose earrings I believe are very old…. They look like French enamel buttons.

This is definitely one of my favourite pieces, a really beautiful centrepiece and an extraordinary amount of work!
