Liya was made in honour of a polar bear at Sea World on the Gold Coast Australia who passed away a few years ago. I would often go there to practice my photography and to enjoy these beautiful animals.
Hand sewn from short pile German mohair, Liya is filled with cotton fill, has seed bead eyes, ultra suede ears and paws and a hand embroidered nose.
Liya is 6 cm high on her wooden wheels and 4 cm high without.
Whilst Liya can be gently handled, she is a collectible, not meant for small hands.
