Although many people associate the colors red, white and blue with flags, did you know that there are many critters that sport the same colors; such as some fish, moths, butterflies and birds. I am happy to add teddybears to the list. This time, I’d like you to meet 10” Frankie, another striking bear sewn from reclaimed red shirred muskrat, navy blue rabbit and white mink (and a sister to Roxie, already listed on Bearpile). Like Roxie, Frankie is five way jointed so head, arms and legs all move. I have sewn her a navy blue perle cotton nose and mouth and also given her black bead eyes to see the world with. Her off-white ultrasuede muzzle matches her pawpads and she is stuffed with personality, polyester stuffing and plastic pellets for weight. Frankie comes with an adoption certificate certifying that she is an original creation by Wendy Shelby. The last two pictures show her beside her sister Roxie. The two made a delightful and colorful pair.
