Although many people associate the colors red, white and blue with flags, did you know that there are many critters that sport the same colors; such as some fish, moths, butterflies and birds. I am happy to add teddybears to the list. Meet 10” Roxie, a striking bear sewn from reclaimed red shirred muskrat, navy blue rabbit and white mink. Roxie is five way jointed so head, arms and legs all move. I have sewn her a red perle cotton nose with a navy blue mouth and given her black bead eyes to see the world with. Her off-white ultrasuede muzzle matches her pawpads and she is stuffed with personality, polyester stuffing and plastic pellets for weight. Roxie comes with an adoption certificate certifying that she is an original creation by Wendy Shelby.
