Please meet my latest creation Woody the realistic European Green Woodpecker! He is a realistic and life size bird and he promises he is very well behaved and litter trained!
The Green woodpecker is a bird thought to symbolise hope, good luck, and protection!
Woody is created from a beautiful dense pile hand dyed Italian Viscose plush fabric. This fabric has a lovely wave texture and a subtle sheen which matches the look of a woodpeckers feathers beautifully. I have also painstakingly coloured the plush to match the markings of a green woodpecker too .
Woody is life size and measures 36cm / 14 inches long from beak to tail!
He has a flexible skeletal armature from his head to his tail so his head can be positioned looking up, down or side to side. His wings are also movable and can fully extend out into a flying position or they can be positioned flat against his body. He has 40 feathers in total which I have individually hand cut and coloured, taking many days of work! I have also added armatures to every feather so each one is flexible and can be positioned in any way. His wings also feel very realistic, replicating wing bones .
His tail feathers also have inner armatures for full movement. Every part of Woody is flexible / moveable and he is great fun to pose.
His beak and claws are hand sculpted from an extremely strong clay. His feet and toes also have inner armatures and are created from flexible silicone and hand painted giving a skin like effect!
He has gorgeous handmade glass eyes which I have hand painted a creamy white to match the look of a Green woodpecker eye, along with hand sculpted eyelids.
He will come to his new home with my sewn in label, as well as a hang tag, a certificate of authenticity and care instructions. He will also arrive gift wrapped in a nice box.
Please note that the wood log shown in the photos is for display purposes only and not included with Woody.
Woody and all my other soft sculpture animals are also not intended to be toys. They are not suitable for children under the age of 14 and are collectible pieces of art, to be treasured for years to come.
Woody has been created in a clean and smoke free studio too.

Each bear / animal will come to their new home securely packed and nicely presented. They are all made in a completely smoke free environment / studio. All shipping includes tracking and insurance.

Return and Refund Policy
I really hope you love your new critter, but if for any reason you are unhappy, please let me know by emailing me and I will do my very best to help you. The bear must be returned in original condition and carefully packed via an insured and tracked delivery service. A refund will then be given within 14 days of me receiving the returned item. Refunds do not include return delivery charges.
