Vintage Steiff dromedary/camel.
10.5" hoof to top of head. I believe he originally stood at 11". Old age effects our furry friends too.
10.5" tail to nose.
The camel is well loved. Areas of patchy wool plush. He has about 30% coverage of wool plush.
Two small worn places with resulting small holes: 1. right rear velvet of leg at the hock.; 2. left cheek under eye. Both are in velvet areas.
Camel has both felt ears. There is a slight nip from the left ear where the Steiff button had been.
Glass brown/amber eyesunder a partial upper lid.
He is either EAN #1528,00 dating him between 1959-1969. Or EAN #0600/28 dating him to between 1968-1969.
Camel can stand independently. He sometimes needs an assist to get his feet lined up correctly for standing.
This is a well loved camel who does not lack in personality for all his worn areas.
