Orpheus feeds on "bad ending fates", if a being is destined to have a terrible end of life or great misfortune that leads to it, he consumes it, not allowing the event to happen. Thus a piercing eye gaze and a menacing look, he looks straight into the evil that awaits you in the future and eats it for a win-win to both sides. Witnessing a lot of horrific fates does leave one looking grim though, with only 3 white feathers remaining as a reminder of his past life as an aspiring musician... He is quite a softie on the inside, really!

I present to you a very unusual figure in mixed technique.
Orpheus was sent to earth to mend broken fortunes.
Full height 25 cm (9.8 in), sitting 18 cm (7 in).
Kneeling 23 cm (9 inches).
Made of Italian viscose, head of German mohair and ostrich feathers. Stuffed with sawdust, buckwheat husks and wood wool.
Wings of cotton fabric.
Face, hands and feet are molded from polymer clay.
The figure is fully articulated with 5 cotter pins.
Tinted with oil paints.
The collar is removable.

Fully handmade, author's pattern.
Toys are not repeated and are made in a single copy.
