I’d like to introduce you to Daisy Mae, a sweet little girl standing approx 8.5cm/approx 3.25” or sitting approx. 5.5cm/2.25”. Daisy Mae is hand stitched from oyster coloured vintage long pile velvet with five cotter pin and disc joints, with wired arms and filled with wool and stainless steel shot for weight. She has a needle and scissor sculpted face, with sparkling black German glass eyes, and embroidered nose, and airbrushed shading.
Daisy Mae wears a dress of antique French cotton lace, accented with a tiny heart shaped rhinestone buckle. I hand stitched a hat especially for her from palest blue Swiss millinery straw, trimmed with matching lace, vintage flowers and a soft fluffy feather. As it’s Springtime here in Australia, I als made her a tiny flower basket and filled it with a few matching vintage millinery flowers.
