This bear is made as an old 1903-1905 Steiff syle bear.He has been made for a competition, being that you are not allowed to use modern techniques after the pattern has been cut out.
This bear has graced the front of Christmas cards, & fortunate enough to heve been in a teddy bear calendar.
He also won an award for best Christmas theme at the time.
Belvadere is made in a dense/curl, antiqued Schulte Mohair in the traditional bear colours. I have distressed, and stained the fur before tracing our the pattern. The foot pads are made of the traditional wool felt, and he is filled with wood wool as the old 1903-1905 bears were. Belvadere has the traditional bear shape with a hump, skinny ankles, long elongated feet and arms. He has antiqued boot button eyes, with a long traditional bear trimmed muzzle, with an aged black embroided nose. There are some patches on this bear that give the illusion of wear and tear, for which you can see the wood wool underneath. He stands at 43cm (17inches),and has a growler in his belly. So that when rocked, his gives a traditional bear growl sound. Belvadere comes with a frayed Christmas coloured ribbon around his neck, and a hand-painted star shape terracotta name tag to be attatched to his ankle. There is also a Bumble Bears tag stitched into his back for authenticity. He has 5 embroided claws on each limb, and is 5-way jointed. (Please note that the Christmas setting around him is not for sale.) Layby/layaway available. NB* If you are adopting Belvadere, I am more than happy to add extra detail/distressing at no extra charge, as this bear has origionally complied with TBACA rules.

As all bears are hand made or custom ordered, it would not be fair to on sell a bear.
Extensive pictures are provided of each bear with details before each purchase.
If there is a fault by the artist, then a refund would be offered, but only upon immediate delivery.
