Here is the sad and true story of Knut the orphan polar bear, and this beautiful snow white polar bear by the amazing artist OsoMiMoso of Argentina has been lovingly created in his memory.
In 2006 a baby polar bear was abandoned on a rock in a zoo by his mummy. He was so tiny he spent the first 44 days of his life in an incubator and was named Knut.
He lived with his keeper in Berlin Zoo but sadly his keeper passed away. Just 3 years later Knut followed him to heaven just before his fifth birthday. The story is a testimony to the love and bond between keeper and bear. Knut had been so loved by Dorflein and this beautiful bear is in honour to that.
Knut is 15" tall, is beautifully created in snow white faux fur and is fully jointed. He has black glass eyes and nose and the most amazing and loving face I have ever seen on a bear. He has hand made leather paw pads and claws and poses beautifully.
Knut is looking for his forever home.
