Madsen Miniatures is very pleased to introduce you to "Alethea" - pronounced "ah-LEE-thee-uh" - a one-of-a-kind miniature winged panda-style teddy bear completely designed and handsewn with love by me, Lisa Madsen. She's a darling tiny teddy about 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall. She has the centerseam head design and has been made from lovely vintage long pile velvets in a light beige & a pretty olive green & she has ultrasuede footpads with hand-painted & drawn leaf designs with sparkles - she loves having sparkly feet! Alethea is wearing a light olive green organza ribbon with a bow accented with gold sparkles around her head & she has a collar necklace & strand necklace of golden glass seed beads. And she has black wire antennae atop her wee head. Alethea has gorgeous transparent sparkly cicada-style wings with glitter accents and gorgeous golden leaf findings & she has bead & glitter accents on her extending wires - just stunning! - handmade & designed by Helen Ranieri - and you can gently adjust them. And Alethea comes with her pretty little golden-winged butterfly friend attached to her left paw - so cute! ~:O) Alethea's darling little face has been needle and scissor sculpted and has also been shaded, painted & sparkled to bring out her expression. She also has wired arms for different posing positions.

Alethea is fully 5-way cotterpin and disk jointed; with handblown glass eyes, and a lacquered black pearl cotton nosie & a thread mouth and teeny eyebrows. She is stuffed with polyfil and her little tummy and legs have some bb's in them to give a nice weighted feel in your hand and to help with standing although she's more of a leaner.

Alethea will come to you with her own little sewn-on acrylic nametag and I have also initialed the footpad so she's all ready to come to her new hug. She comes from a smoke-free home. And, she is not suitable for young children as she has small parts.
