Thank you for taking the time to visit my Bear Pile page that runs along with my website at cupboardbearsbyelizabeth. I have been making Cupboard Bears since 1994 and have sold them worldwide. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people.

My mind is always racing with new ideas for bear designs. Inspiration can come from something as simple as a fabric or a button. I hand-sew and design all of my creations and outfits with top-quality materials. I take great care in adding intricate details to each bear and their friends, so they have a unique and special quality.

All of my Cupboard Bears are hand-sewn and filled with glass beads, and sometimes steel, to give them a weighty feel. They are also filled with top-quality materials, ensuring they are the perfect companion for a lifetime.

The bears are five-way jointed with nuts and bolts. The fabrics I use are mainly German Mohair, but I also use English Tweed or German Viscose for the bear's fur. The bears have ultra suede or wool paw pads, glass eyes, and hand-stitched Perle cotton claws and noses.

I also knit the little cardigans and sweaters with 2-ply wool, which helps keep the bears extra snug.

I really enjoy using vintage lace and trims for my bears. I like the well-loved, faded look that old fabrics have. If I use vintage lace, I will always state it when offering a bear for sale.

Each bear and their friend come complete with a swing tag around their neck. The swing tag will have my signature and the bear's name on it, and there will also be a tag sewn into their back.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to create these Cupboard Bears. They fulfil my creative side, and without stitching, I would feel lost. Thank you for adopting my Cupboard Bears and supporting me over the years. You have given me the best occupation and I am forever grateful.
