Thank you for taking a closer look at Emily, a dainty ladylike girl standing approx 10cm/4” and hand stitched from loght beige long pile vintage velvet. She has five cotter pin and disc joints with wired arms for gentle posing, such as with her hands demurely behind her back, as I have her shown here. Her face is needle and scissor sculpted as well as shaded to bring out her sweet features.
Emily is inspired by the Jane Austen heroines of the past, And I’ve dressed her in an Empire style gown of silk tulle, sashed at the bodice with a pink silk ribbon topped with a Swarovski crystal. On her head she wears a head piece of tiny vintage millinery flowers and a silk tulle bow, also accented with Swarovski crystals.
Emily comes complete with her romantic shabby chic shadow box with a lace covered front and trimmed with vintage millinery flowers. The inside of the box is lined with a gorgeous silk print of roses in soft shades of cream, Aqua, pink and green.
