I live in Maleny, on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Queensland , Australia. Maleny is a small town on the Blackall Range 30mins drive east of Caloundra and 1� hours north of Brisbane. It is a beautiful part of the world and home to many artists.I started making bears in 1993 after seeing some at a local market. I quickly became addicted - I just had to make one more. While I make bears of all sizes I love to create bears under 6"/15cm and my favourite size being 3". I like to use mohair and alpaca for my bears but also use upholstery velvets, cashmere and ultrasuede. I make the bears clothes and hand knit some of the garments. I also like to make rabbits and gollies, which are a lot of fun to create. My work has been featured in magazines in Australia and overseas and in Debbie Kesslings� book �How to Make Enchanting Miniature Bears� I have also won awards at The Premier Bear Affair and Winter Wonderland.My bears have found homes all over the world including USA, Canada, Denmark, UK, New Zealand, and Japan.I have also produced a wide range of patterns for those who prefer to make their own bears.I have been teaching and attending shows since 1995 both in Australia and New Zealand and many friendships have been formed through the Teddy Bear world.Please feel free to contact me if you would like me to make a special bear for you.
